After the high and low temperature test chamber completes the high temperature test, it is generally necessary to conduct refrigeration and temperature reduction. As one of the most important parts of the high and low temperature test chamber, the refrigeration system can be divided into air cooling and water cooling in terms of cooling mode. There is no difference between the two, mainly because of the difference in heat dissipation mode. Let's take a look at the differences, advantages and disadvantages of the specific two cooling modes.
First. Difference between water-cooled and air-cooled refrigeration units
1. Air cooling and heat dissipation
Air cooling and heat dissipation is the use of air mobility to cause convection heat transfer, thereby reducing the temperature in the box to achieve refrigeration purposes. Generally speaking, air cooling is widely used in the market, especially for small high and low temperature test chambers. Because the requirements of small high and low temperature boxes on refrigeration compressors are not so high, the power of general compressors is also relatively small.
The advantages of air cooling are affordable cost and convenient movement; The disadvantage is that the ambient temperature around the equipment is required to be high, and it is better to use it in the environment of 5 ℃~28 ℃.
2. Water cooling and heat dissipation
Water cooling and heat dissipation refers to the selection of water or other refrigeration liquid for temperature reduction according to the method of fluidity. Generally, water cooling is mainly used in large high and low temperature test chambers, walk-in high and low temperature laboratories, etc., which are mostly used in semi enclosed compressor units.
Its advantages are good cooling effect and relatively low environmental requirements, especially in summer. The disadvantage is that supporting cooling water devices are required, that is, water tower, pipeline and other construction are required. It is not convenient for subsequent relocation, and the cost is higher than that of air cooling. In addition, in cold winter, it is also necessary to ensure that the water in the water tower will not freeze.
Second. How to choose air cooled and water cooled high and low temperature test chambers
1. Select according to regional temperature difference
Water cooling and air cooling look similar, but they still need to be determined according to the natural environment of the high and low temperature test chamber.
In terms of different regional temperatures, the average temperature in southern China is relatively high, and the refrigeration efficiency of air cooling is usually too low, so water cooling should be used to achieve a stronger practical effect; On the contrary, if the average temperature in the northern region is low, which is particularly easy to cause freezing and endanger the water circulation, air cooling will be used for better heat dissipation.
2. Select according to the heat dissipation capacity of the equipment
The power of the high and low temperature test chamber is configured according to the actual temperature requirements. Different low temperature requirements will have different hardware requirements for the refrigeration system, so in terms of power, it will also increase with the reduction of the refrigeration temperature. The higher the cooling rate, the greater the power. Generally, air cooling is selected for small power, and water cooling is selected for large power.
3. Select according to the place where the equipment is used
Air cooling has no high requirements on the site. It only requires ventilation, low temperature and exhaust fan. Air cooling can be selected for indoor places with constant temperature such as floors and laboratories, and for higher floors
On the contrary, in the high temperature environment, or in the places where it is convenient to lay the refrigeration pipeline (the site has water supply conditions), the water-cooled heat dissipation method can be selected.
4. Select according to equipment maintenance in later stage
The air-cooled refrigeration unit is convenient and flexible to move, and the later maintenance is relatively simple; The maintenance cost of water-cooled refrigeration unit is relatively high due to the complex pipeline installation.
5. Select according to customer budget
For equipment under the same working condition, the cost of equipment with air cooling is relatively low.
To sum up, there is not much difference between water cooling and air cooling for high and low temperature test chambers. They are all for heat dissipation, but different media and heat dissipation methods are used. There is no difference between the two. When customers choose the cooling mode of high and low temperature boxes, they only need to determine according to the actual environment and other factors.
KOMEG high and low temperature test chamber adopts the mechanical compression refrigeration mode for intelligent refrigeration control: according to the temperature in the chamber and the demand, PID control solenoid valve switch outputs the refrigeration capacity or PID control heater (cooling does not heat, heating does not cool).
